MEDEX Global Group Announces the Addition of Regional Sales Directors John Pugh, Stephen Rullo and Chip Sousa
Baltimore, MD (January 26, 2010) -Bruce Kirby, president and CEO of MEDEX Global Group, announced the addition of three new regional sales directors to the MEDEX team. John Pugh will service the Western United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, Stephen Rullo will be responsible for US Agency for International Development (USAID) and non-governmental organization (NGO) sales, and Chip Sousa will manage sales in MEDEX's scholastic division.
"We are strengthening our sales team to target specific industries and locations," says Kirby. "This enables us to reach more potential clients and ultimately help more travelers than ever before."
Pugh has extensive experience in the international marketplace. He comes to MEDEX from Shepell-fgi, the major provider of global employee assistance program services, and he previously spent 12 years as a sales director for a major MEDEX competitor. Early in his career, Pugh was an IBM international account manager, where he managed the global responsibility for clients such as Bank of America, DHL, Matson Navigation, The Harper Group and several cruise lines.
Pugh has employed his international expertise in more than 25 different countries. He received his undergraduate degree from Jacksonville University, attended Northwestern University Kellogg School Executive Management Program and earned a teaching credential at Dominican University.
Rullo most recently served as a director of sales within WellPoint's Consumer Health Solutions business unit. Like Pugh, Rullo also worked for a major MEDEX competitor, as well as The Coca-Cola Company.
Rullo's travels have taken him to Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Vietnam and the United Kingdom. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California - Berkeley and is currently obtaining his master's in business administration at Villanova University.
Sousa has more than 10 years of experience in health and financial services. For the past six years, Sousa was an account executive at Aetna Student Health, where he successfully sold and implemented many student health insurance programs.

Lyme Disease in China
When a young man was in China, he developed symptoms of Lyme Disease. His mother contacted CMI for a hospital referral. The MEDEX Emergency Response Center recommended a nearby hospital, which is a credentialed MEDEX Center of Excellence. The local physicians put him on antibiotics and the young man began to feel better. MEDEX continued to follow the case until the young man no longer needed our assistance.
